More clips

I think Mum's preparing for the busy weeks ahead by doing a few extra entries into my blog. Kind of like storing credit - as she knows she's not going to have much time in the next few weeks!

She's also just figured out how to downsize video clips for web streaming in iMovie (thanks Aunty Dee!). So here are a few from the past couple of months. Next lesson - editing clips together! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

1. Whizzing Ed

2. Talking Ed

3. Laughin' bubs

Hey bumbo!

Mum's been busy on Gumtree - which is a website that is a bit like ebay only you don't have to wait for people to bid on an item. She's been selling furniture for our impending move to Broome, WA. Dad got a job with ABC Radio Kimberley and starts mid-May. It's all happened and happening quite quickly.

I don't really know where Broome is - but Mum and Dad say it is a long way away from everyone I've met so far. But there are beautiful beaches, camping, star gazing and fishing to enjoy! My folks are both excited and sad at the adventure that lies ahead. Sad to be leaving their life, their family and their friends in Sydney but excited about the lifestyle they'll get to enjoy on the north west coast.

Sooooo Mum's been selling off bits of furniture. She's also been looking at what there is to buy and she's bought me a secondhand bumbo seat. It is specifically moulded to help little people like me to sit up unassisted. Mum's hoping it will come in handy when feeding me.

Here's some pictures of my first go!

  1. Not so sure about this...
 2. Ok hurry up and take the picture...oh there are my toes!

 3. Alrighty! I get the hang of it!

Rice cereal raspberries

Mum and Dad couldn't until I was 6 months old to start solids - they were just too excited. So I've been having a little bit of baby rice cereal this week (I'm nearly 5 months). The first time I tried it I swirled it around in my mouth a bit and wasn't sure of the taste. My facial expression was somewhere between intrigue and disgust!

Now I'm getting pretty good at swallowing each mouthful and am having about a tablespoon in one sitting.. although I'm still not sure of the taste. Hopefully Mum's going to start mixing some fruit or vegetables in with it so there's more flavour!

In this clip I'm not only eating solids, but I'm combining it with doing one of my favourite things.... blowing raspberries!

And yes. I'm totally 'working' the camera!

Stripes are the new black...

Mum and I had a small photo session a couple of weeks back. She said I woke up on the 'right side of the cot' so it was a good time to get snap happy. Apparently I'm at my best in the mornings!

Mum can never decide which is her favourite picture to post, so there's a few!

Leichhardt lovelies

Mum and I hang out with some other babes from in and around Leichhardt. There's a gathering every week - in a park if weather permits or in a cafe close by.  Recently we had a family picnic on the weekend so all the Dads were able to meet the Mums and their corresponding bubs!

Below is a picture of the Mums (minus a couple families that could not make it):

And here are the Dads and their bubs...

I was so pooped after this day that I fell asleep in the car. I'm getting pretty good at sleeping in the car. Although I'm not a fan of stopping. Red lights are deal breakers.

The latest..

Hi!
It's been some time since I made my last entry...and I'm terribly sorry to all those that check the blog regularly for updates. Mum's been having problems loading up some excellent video clips. She's decided to put that entry on hold and load some recent pictures instead.

I've been doing more hangin' out. As you can see from the pics, my newest trick is rolling onto my side. I'm not quite at the stage of rolling over on to my tummy, or onto my back from my tummy - but I'm working on it. Promise I'll get there Mum!

The best part of rolling on your side is when you have a mate over to play and you can stick your fingers in her mouth. Mum and Dad tell me that's not how you treat ladies..and after going to see the movie He's Just Not That Into You, I received a stern talking to from Mum about being good to girls. I did a lot of smiling when she was talking, which seemed to maker her happy.

I've also recently enjoyed the regular company of another baby on my play gym mat. They look really familiar but I can't quite place where I've seen them before. Don't you hate it when that happens? It's even worse when I want to introduce them to Champy and I can't remember their name! Anyhow, they always smile back when I smile at them and when I reach out to touch their face, they reach back to me too. It's a love/love relationship.

There are some other groovy babes in my life. More on them in a minute.

Love Ed
