Preparing for visitors

It's an exciting time up here in Broome. We are getting a lovely parade of visitors over the next couple of months! First up is Granny and Grandpa Mailer, who drove all the way from Scone (NSW)! What a trip!

I thought I'd lend Mum a hand by helping with some cleaning before they arrived.

Reddell redness

Rocks on Reddell Beach. These rocks make for great shade spots in the afternoon - not to mention 'nook and cranny' exploration.

What a spot for a private party. Unfortunately this wasn't our camp...but they did have the right idea!

Bare butt cheeks! Probably the only time you can have them hanging out (the butt cheeks that is) and people actually say 'Oh they are so cute!'

Champ and I

Dad, Champ and I. You can only JUST see Champ's head in the water.

Hermit crab tracks against the pindan. The sun is starting to set - Reddell's redness comes out.

Loyal hound... keeping watch over the beach.

Me. Dinner time.

Pity the camera battery died after these shots because a fire out on Roebuck Plains gave the sunset and sky an intensity we hadn't seen before. Oh well, next time.

Hermit crab sighted

A new breed of hermit crab was sighted CRAWLING on Reddell Beach, Broome over the weekend. Here is a brief clip we managed to catch of it:

More photos to come....
