Leichhardt lovelies

Mum and I hang out with some other babes from in and around Leichhardt. There's a gathering every week - in a park if weather permits or in a cafe close by.  Recently we had a family picnic on the weekend so all the Dads were able to meet the Mums and their corresponding bubs!

Below is a picture of the Mums (minus a couple families that could not make it):

And here are the Dads and their bubs...

I was so pooped after this day that I fell asleep in the car. I'm getting pretty good at sleeping in the car. Although I'm not a fan of stopping. Red lights are deal breakers.

The latest..

Hi!
It's been some time since I made my last entry...and I'm terribly sorry to all those that check the blog regularly for updates. Mum's been having problems loading up some excellent video clips. She's decided to put that entry on hold and load some recent pictures instead.

I've been doing more hangin' out. As you can see from the pics, my newest trick is rolling onto my side. I'm not quite at the stage of rolling over on to my tummy, or onto my back from my tummy - but I'm working on it. Promise I'll get there Mum!

The best part of rolling on your side is when you have a mate over to play and you can stick your fingers in her mouth. Mum and Dad tell me that's not how you treat ladies..and after going to see the movie He's Just Not That Into You, I received a stern talking to from Mum about being good to girls. I did a lot of smiling when she was talking, which seemed to maker her happy.

I've also recently enjoyed the regular company of another baby on my play gym mat. They look really familiar but I can't quite place where I've seen them before. Don't you hate it when that happens? It's even worse when I want to introduce them to Champy and I can't remember their name! Anyhow, they always smile back when I smile at them and when I reach out to touch their face, they reach back to me too. It's a love/love relationship.

There are some other groovy babes in my life. More on them in a minute.

Love Ed

Life's great!

Life in CAMP O' EDDIE is pretty good! I didn't really like the heat that hit Sydney last week - but the cool change, and even rain, this week has been lovely. A great time to snuggle up and get cosy with Mum and Dad.

To escape the heat last week, Mum and I went to the movies with some other Mums and Bubs and some friends from mother's group. We were all really well behaved. It was like watching the big screen at home - only better! The movie was a 'chick flick' so I had a nap towards the end. Dad told me those movies always work out, so no need to lose sleep over it!!

Here's a few pictures since my last update....

Dad's showing me how the five-point harness works in my new car seat. It's all too complex for me. All I really need to know is that the seat is nice and comfy!

The world looks so different this way up. And my eyebrows get so much more exhausted. Do you think I could get a gig on a botox advertisement? Hmmm...too young? People wouldn't believe it?

Okaaaaay. I think one of these is a tucan and one is a monkey... I'm not sure what this one in the middle is. Oh. Ummm... mustard check... there's been some movement in my nappy.

My Aunty Jib (aka Linda) was in Sydney for a little while and we got to spend some quality time together - at least when I was awake!! She even gave me a couple of bottles. I wasn't so well behaved the first time... but this time I was much better!

Did some more hanging with Juno. We were pondering how we could let our parents know we'd really love them to buy some shares in BONDS. We've got a lifetime of support left in us! Bonds singlets are tops!

Have been spending some quality time watching the cricket with Dad.

I luuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrve the cricket. C'mon Aussies!!!

The talking Mr Ed...

Here I'm trying to explain to Mum how much I love the cuddly dog that Aunty Sabine sent me from Obama HQ. She talks over me a bit...but if you listen closely you can hear me ask Mum when Aunty Sabine is coming to visit.

Sunny Sandgropers in town..

Last week my friend Zac from Perth was visiting Sydney and stayed with us for a few days. We had loads of fun - we chatted endlessly about life and being young in today's modern world. Zac turned the pages of my favourite book, we did puzzles and we went to the Star Wars exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum. I was introduced to Boo-bar (or is it Pooh-bar?), ABC kids and the Wiggles.

It was a big week for personal growth and I'm a better baby for it...

Zac concentrating on carting bricks to the house building site

Puzzle time!

Learning to laugh...

My newest trick is laughing. I've only let out a couple of really decent tummy chuckles and Mum and Dad are a bit slow with the camera.

Here they've tried to captured part of it. It's more of a half-laugh..just a little tease to give you a taste. Have to keep you all hanging for more! It seems to work for Mum and Dad!
