The daily 'bookends'...

I thought I'd write and give you a bit of an idea of how I start and end my day. The bits in between are a bit different depending on the weather, the day of the week and who's in town etc.

My day usually starts with a 3/4am wake up call from my belly, which hasn't been filled since 10/10.30pm the night before. Mum's never really too keen for photos at that time - she can have pretty crazy bed hair and the light isn't great. Well - there is no light as the sun hasn't even begun to rise!

Then I wake at about 6/7am for more 'food'. Yes I am a growing boy! I am always so happy to see Mum come and get me, so I give her the biggest smile of the day here. She reckons it is priceless.  After that feed I sometimes sit outside in the garden to look at the trees while Mum hangs washing - then once I've sufficiently digested we have a bit of tummy time.

As you can see from these pictures - I'm getting much better. I used to hate being face planted...but now my neck muscles are much stronger so I can look around. These days I even smile, usually because Mum is smiling at the grunting noises I make! Regardless, it is more fun now than it used to be.

The middle of the day varies a bit - sometimes we go out, sometimes we play at home. But one of the best bits of the day is when Dad gets home.

Mum usually has me fed and napped up so that we can get straight into some serious boy fun time. Weather permitting it usually includes some more time out under the trees for nappy free time.

At around 5/6pm we start to wind down for the day. It usually starts with a bath or a shower. I'm almost too big for my bath tub and will have to get upgraded into the big-people's tub soon. There's less room to splash and 'swim' around.

The shower is loads of fun. It took me a while to get used to it. At first Dad put the pressure down quite low, but now I'm used to the water spray and I don't mind it up a bit higher.

Once I'm dressed - I get a big feed. I've started getting a formula bottle at this time of the day. The only problem I have with it is that I can't get it fast enough out of the bottle! The other day we could hear it all sloshing around in my belly when I was getting 'burped'. I can put it away alright!
Then finally it is sleep time. Mum and Dad are trying to teach me how to fall asleep unassisted at the moment. I'm pretty good during the day, but when it comes to night time I can be a bit more grizzly!

We'll eventually get there anywhere between 7 - 8.30pm and while I snooze while Mum and Dad have some quiet time together.
